Foreign Pilgrims are recomeded not to use below route because transit is a little complicated and difficult to transit even Japanese.　It is preferable to take bus from 

JR Iyo-Saijo station.

外国人のお遍路さんは下記ルートはおすすめできません。乗り換え場所がわかりにくく、

日本人でも間違いやすいからです。伊予西条から乗車されるのがベターです。

Getting off at Yokomine Climbing Entrance, then transit to Yokomineji  shuttle bus from Uenohara bus terminal. (Just nearby Yokomine Climbing Entrance) (Yen 1750)

Even you go by own car, it costs Yen1850 for toll road and parking.(Not cheap!!)

 Shuttle bus from Uenohara to Yokomineji will be cancelled while Dec 21 to end of Feb,

and Yokomine climbing toll road bocome free of charge in this period. But it is recommended not to use car in this period because of danger by snow fall or freezing road. In case getting accident, no any rescue car available (heavy equipment car cannot enter into this road) and just need asking help by human power. 

横峰登山口を下りると、すぐ横の上の原から横峰寺行きのシャトルバスがあります。

(1750円)　車で行っても有料林間道路＋駐車場で1850円かかります。(結構な金額です。)

12月21日から翌年の2月末ころまでシャトルバスは運休になり、林道も無料になりますが、雪や路面凍結で林道を車で上るのは大変危険です。スリップ等の事故が起きてもJAF等救助車は重くて上れないので人海戦術による救助になりますのでご注意ください。
